Reel to Real Politics: Will he take the plunge?

Bal Thackeray has been praising Rajni a little too much. Right from the Hoggenakal issue, which he praised Rajni for and stated that the Big B should follow in Rajni's footsteps, to the very recent view about Rajni's duties in Tamil Nadu being over, Thackeray has been all praise for the superstar who is Marathi by birth. Is there something brewing here or is it all just a lot of words being spoken? We have had a lot of news doing the rounds about how Rajni's fans are urging him to join politics. The mass following for a single person in Tamil Nadu has never been so great after the iconic MGR, who was loved by one and all.

I guess we need to watch this space to see if Rajni will indeed enter politics, be reluctantly dragged into it or just abstain from it totally. My bet is on Rajni entering politics with a bang. Wonder if it will, in any way improve the present situation and if we TN will get a very charismatic leader eventually. Well, if he decide to run for CM then his political speeches will be worth listening to, especially because they will sound extensively like many of his movie dialogues. :)

At the risk of sounding harsh, I think Rajni is a little fickle minded and perhaps too good at heart to be a great leader. Firstly, I would like him think clearly, weigh the pros and cons before taking the plunge, if at all he decides to. He has got some lousy advisers with him and unless and until he distances them from his political career, his journey would be doomed at the very outset in the cynical world of politics.
I am extremely happy the way he is right now!!!
Thalaivar rocks :)

the memories of the 2004 elections will still be haunting him.. the fact that PMK romped home despite his public outburst against them will make him think twice about entering the political space full time..

besides i do not think he has structured his fan clubs for political activities like vijaykanth did or i think chiru has done..

he can maybe campaign for some party but a direct plunge into politics would be ill advised..
